Kayunga District sworn in its new members of its District Service Commission following the expiry ot the term of office of the incumbent commission last year.
The new members are Sentongo Badru Lukwago as the commission Chairperson, Galiwango Kizito Ahmed , Naiga Florence Sekabira and Matovu Jonathan as members of the new District Service Commission.
Mr. Sentongo replaced Hajji Mukwaya Lutakome whose term expired after serving for 8 yeras.
The President of the Republic of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on 08TH January 2021 commissioned the newly expanded, renovated and refurbished Kayunga District hospital and Isimba bridge.
The hospital was funded by the Government of the Republic of Uganda and that Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) funds for International Development (DFID) at a cost of 70 billion shillings,
Kayunga District council has approved the upgrading Kayunga District hospital to a regional refferal hospital and also handed it over to the Ministry of Health.
In a council meeting that has been presided over by the District Speaker Hon. Bulinson Saleh, the council has also approved the upgrading of Bbaale H.C.IV to a District hospital to replace Kayunga District hospital.
