THE PHYSICAL PLANNING COMMITTEE

The Physical planning Committee held a meeting at the District Headquarters chaired by the Deputy CAO.

The purpose of the meeting was to approve land applications, subdivision cases and developing application plans.

The Deputy CAO urged the team to be so vigilant when handling land matters since Kayunga is an area with land grabbers.

He discouraged them from issuing land tittles to people in wetlands since condemning a structure is easy but demolishing it is hard.

He urged them to work as a team by submitting quarterly reports to the physical planning committee for verification and approval. Since this is one of the biggest sources of revenue to government.

The physical planner requested town clerks to pick maps showing areas of their jurisdiction to avoid mismatch of physical boundaries and to always follow up on the enforcement notices given to illegal developers.

He reminded town clerks to always submit physical planning Committee minutes and facilitate the physical planning Committee activities in their areas as per CAO's letter to them.

He finally requested the chair to include subcounty chiefs on the physical planning Committee since the Issues discussed concern both sub counties and town councils.
