SITE HANDED OVER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF EYE/ ENT UNIT & SPECIALISED DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE IN KAYUNGA HOSPITAL.

The Ministry of Health handed over the proposed site for the construction of the proposed Eye/ ENT unit and specialised diagnostic center  in Kayunga hospital to the Arab Contractors Limited.

The project will cost ugs 4,498,927,361 billions.

According to the Project Manager from the Ministry of Health, the actual implementation of the project will take 10 months after the date of site posession.

Works to be done.

A. Facilities at the Eye/ ENT

1. Consultation rooms

2.Inpatients wards with atleast 30 beds

3. 2 operating theatres i.e 1 for eye & the other for ENT

B.Specialized radiology diagnostic centre providing for fluoroscopy, C-Arm, memography and CT scan.

C. Support facilities such as reception, store, toilets etc.

The  project contract agreement was signed between the contractor Ms Arab Contractors Ltd and the District represented by the office of the Chief Administrative Officer, witnessed by the Ministry of Health which was represented by Eng.SSB Wande.

The function was also witnessed by the District Chairperson Hon. Kayiira Joel, Secretary for health Ms Najjemba Aliyah among others.
